Hello World!

 Kia ora koutou!

My name is Luna and I'm so excited about being here to learn with you all!  My actual dog-mum's name is Fern and my Dad's name is Presley... and I was born here in Tairāwhiti.  I'm a Border Terrier with a fuzzy face and a happy smile.  At the moment, I haven't even gone to live with my new family.... I'm still growing up!  My mum is taking great care of me and my brother and sister and I'm getting all roly and delicious.

In a few weeks, when I've had my puppy vaccinations, I'm going to live with my new family.  They already have another Border Terrier called Brea, but she's a bit older than me.

Some of my favourite things to do online are to create images based on photos I have... just like this one below.  When I'm using Google Drawing, the curve and polyline tools can be a bit tricky, so I always try to remember to zoom in, so I can get as much detail as possible.  Making the nostrils in this picture is one example of this.

Next, I want to take my image and add it to a Google Slide with some audio on it, so that I can use my doggy voice to share with you all my thoughts about what makes a blog post great!  I know that this term, we're working on Smart Relationships, and one of the things that we explore to help us to learn that, is using our blog to write posts and receive and respond to comments.  I know another part of this process is to read other's blogs and reply to their posts with positive, thoughtful, helpful comments as well.  It's much easier to create quality comments when people have written a really quality blog post to start with, as there will be lots of information for me to read through and ideas to connect with.  One of the most fun things about blogging programmes like the ones we do with Manaiakalani are about connecting with other people all around the rohe.  I'm so excited to meet you.  Please introduce yourself and tell me a bit about you... I'd love to connect!

Wishing you all the doggy treats....

Luna
